Working with David as a colorist was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. He’s not only highly skilled at what he does, but also incredibly collaborative. Throughout the process, he brought thoughtful ideas to the table and really took the time to understand and enhance my vision as Director of Photography. What stood out most was how engaged he was creatively. He didn’t just execute, he actively contributed in a way that elevated the final result. His sense of color, tone, and mood added a whole new layer to the music video.

It was very pleasant working with David! We first dove into the concept and story of my project: what it needed to convey, what feeling and atmosphere, and where the focus should be. After that, we discussed my ideas and wishes. David also asked if there were areas where I was still unsure, so we could get a better handle on them together. What I appreciated was that we could continuously zoom in and out of the “story.” There was attention to both the big picture and the small details, with the vision of the edit and the feeling it needed to convey always taking priority. We explored different options in terms of contrast, colors, glow, tones, intensities, undertones, etc., until it felt right and we were both satisfied. Would recommend 10/10!!

Working with David opened my eyes about color grading. Not only did he involve me in every step he took but also provided me with suggestions to choose from to get the best results for my project. His studio and workflow are professional and he makes sure that at the end no loose ends are left.
